Taped Ray Stevens Show for PBS in Nashville on December 13 along with Charlie Pride and Gary Morris (great show) and Ray and I reminisced about the old days when I was Steve Martin’s roommate while Steve was a writer on The Ray Stevens Show on CBS 1970… (photos to follow)

Went back to CA on December 14 and did the final two Johnny Mathis Christmas Shows at McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert. Also spent last weekend golfing with old friend comedian /director Wil Shriner, his son actor /comedian Nick Shriner and producer Howard Allen.

Last Friday (Oct. 14) night backstage at Arnoff Center For The Performing Arts...Cincinnati, OH...Johnny Mathis 60th Anniversary Tour...my 22nd year with John and the orchestra. What a great job! I am truly blessed.👍

Arnold Palmer...what a gentleman & what a loss, not only to golf but to the whole world. Arnie was one of the nicest people I ever met. I did three events for him at Bay Hill for his children’s hospital & believe it or not we were pen pals for a time. Nita even did a golf sketch with him & Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show (Nita in a polka dot bikini distracting Arnie from making a putt. Ha!)

Won this at Scotty Medlock/Robby Kreiger Concert and golf for St Judes... Slash painted by Ronnie Wood of The Stones
Priceless!!

This was the best St. Judes Children's Hospital all-star concert ever, at North Ranch Country Club on August 29. I got a great shot onstage during our encore. Left to right are Richie Sambora, Orianthi, Phil Chen (Jeff Beck) & Robby Krieger. Also on the show were Jerry Cantrell & Mike Inez (Alice In Chains), Danny Seraphine (Chicago), David Sikes (Boston), Robb Houston (Sixwire), Paul Barrere & Kenny Gradney (Little Feat), Dave Brock (The Doors) & Kit Potamkin & Steve Molitz (Particle). Robb Houston, Robby Krieger & Dave Sikes backed me with guitars and bass on Folsom Prison Blues. It rocked! What a night!

Mule Deer backstage with guitar wizards Orianthi (Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper) & Richie Sambora (Jon Bon Jovi).

Haley Reinhart of The Voice & The Doors' Robby Krieger at sound check.
She's an incredible singer & a great addition to the show this year.

My driver Currie, picked me up to go to LAX wearing one of my t-shirts. Ha!

The 18th hole at Riviera Country Club with PGA artist Scotty Medlock, lighting tech Ben Moffett, lead singer of the Doors' Dave Brock, Mule Deer & Doors legend and guitarist Robby Krieger. After the St. Jude is over, this has become a yearly event.

Nita's tree at our cabin in Spearfish Canyon. She planted it as a seedling!

After a corporate gig in Orlando for APCO International, I spent four days in Dunedin, FL and production manager and I had the good fortune to play at Innisbrook Country Club on the Copperhead course, where the PGA holds its Valspar Event every year. 95 degrees and 80% humidity...for some reason we seemed to have the course all to ourselves that day.

After the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago with Johnny Mathis on August 13, Mule Deer met up with his production manager Mike Grimm in Siasconset, Mass for the Nantucket Golf Club Charity Classic.

Mule Deer's out as special guest this year on Johnny Mathis's 60th anniversary tour.

Backstage with Warren & Jale Trepp, Johnny Mathis, & El Dorado Casino host Jami (Johnny & I both having post-show hair issues?) The show a home run.

Mule Deer with friend & agent Craig Neier, responsible for the July 23 gig at Westlake.

Sound check at Westlake Golf Club in Jackson, NJ.

Nita and I attended the Johnny Miller Foundation golf event at Silverado Resort in Napa, CA from July 6-12. I did an outdoor show the last night after golf in The Grove. Pre-golf seminar was with Johnny Miller, LPGA's Kristie Kerr, plus former 49ers Steve Young and Jerry Rice. Johnny's son Andy put the entire event together. Our transportation from and to the airport, thanks to Ken Leister, was a Chrysler Maybach. Sweet!

Big rock show & golf tournament at North Ranch Country Club for St. Jude's tonight.

Crow Peak tonight (June 29) at 8:30 pm...6 days and 1,200 acres later still 0 containment!!!
And on a lighter note...
The Mule Deer tree house

We are losing the battle to save our beautiful Crow Peak that overlooks Spearfish
4 days now and 0 containment
Sad......

No hole in one, but I got to hold the check.
No one won, but Joe Don Rooney (Rascal Flatts) got closest to the pin for $50,000 for his charity.
I was playing for UCP of The Inland Empire and Barbara Sinatra Children Center in Rancho Mirage, CA (I did hit the green but my ball rolled off the back.)

I missed Robby Kreigger’s birthday party, but my T-Shirt showed up. Some of the guys I jam with at The St. Jude Event. Left to right, Danny Seraphin (Chicago); Robby Kreigger (Doors); Scott Medlock (PGA Artist); and David Sykes (Boston)

The back of my 1977 Gibson J-200 is getting a little crowded. It started with Sheryl Crow backstage at Late Night with David Letterman and from there sort of took on a mind of its own. Everyone from Little Jimmy Dickens and Vince Gill to Richie Sambora, Jack Black, Alice Cooper, Zac Brown, Robby Kreigg, etc., etc., etc. Ha!

My UCP team...PGA pro Richard Jaeckel and CBS anchor Kris Long. We didn’t win, but we broke a window (long story).

Article in The Desert Sun about The 20th annual UCP Dennis James Lexus in Rancho Mirage Dec. 6 and 7. I was the entertainment at the banquet this Year, and it is always an honor to work for Greg Wetmore, Mikki and Brad James, Yvonne and Ed Atwood, and the rest of the gang at Desert Lexus. We play The Championship Course (Dinah Shore Kraft /Nabisco) at Mission Hills Country Club headed up by Jim Robinson and staff.

Drummer Andy Fraga and Bassist Terry Miller at Havana airport in their Globe trotting Mule Deer T-Shirts...Have played tons of shows with these guys.

Old friends Williams and Ree at The Deadwood Mountain Grand. They are as good as it gets and have to be the longest running comedy duo in show business. (I think 45 plus years).
